Job Title: Teacher ECD (Early Childhood development)
Location: Alberton
Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher ECD to join our team in 2026 to provide high-quality early childhood education to children aged 3 to 5 years old. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and a nurturing approach to teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate and engaging curriculum for children in alignment with the school's goals and objectives
- Create a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Assess and monitor each child's progress and provide feedback to parents and caregivers as needed
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated learning experience for children
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each child's development and learning milestones
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required
Qualifications:
- NQF Level 5
- Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and caregivers
